SETUP
A laser trigger was placed above
the tip of an arrow mounted to a small stand. Soft-lights to the left
and right of the shaft were placed to light the balloon and the blue mylar
backdrop. A delay module was used
to adjust the delay before triggering an electronic
cable release. I stood behind the backdrop holding the balloon in
both hands to maintain it's round shape before releasing it directly onto
the arrow. The resulting photo caught the water frozen by electronic flash
with the red balloon skin still ripping away.
